¿Cómo se vive en…? / How is life in…?

How is life in…?.

¡Vamos a conocerla y a enseñársela a nuestros hijos!

¡Bienvenidos al mundo!

-ooo-

I would like to tell you about the initiative I am carrying out. I am very excited about it.

First, this little blog hopes to be a traveler blog. A blog that, little by little, is enriched with destinations all over the world.

Second, as you already know, we always travel under a «Lilliputian» point of view. Because of that, I realised I have a big interest (actually, not only one… I have thousands of interests).

I know how is life in my city. I have my local point of view about how we live: a 4 members family (with 2 «Lilliputians») in a city with a population of 300.000 inhabitants. I know the kind of family we are, which resources we have, what we need and which efforts we have to do to manage our life balance. In conclusion, I know about my life here.

I could be ambitious and imagine how people live in other cities in Spain. I could even extrapolate and tell you about how is life in Spain (buf…).

But I want to be even more ambitious. And that’s why here you have my project… How families with kids live around the world?

Nowadays, there are lots of factors which influence on the life of a family with kids. There are external factors as the economic and politic situation in the country, regulations, local culture, etc; and internal, as the kind of family, its economic situation or its own culture. They all form the scenary where each family develops its daily life, its professional life, the education of kids, its leisure, etc.

All these factors establish the «game rules».

Thus, this ambitious initiative pretends to discover how is life with kids in different countries around the world. It starting with pregancy, till the daily life in every family. I love the idea. Let’s know the world and see how do we live around it. How do we manage our life balance (if we do…); which difficulties we have and how do we think. It always considering the resources and situation of every country.

This initiative will be published in a new category. This is ¿Cómo se vive en…? / How is life in…? and you can find it in the blog  from today on. Every so often, I will publish the story of a family with kids in some place in the world (Spain included, of course…). The family will tell us about its own situation. Don’t you think it is really interesting?

I encourage you to tell us about your family story. If you feel like doing it, you can contact me in this blog, by e-mail ([email protected]) or twitter (@PiliManrique). It doesn’t matter if you see that there is someone who has told a story in your own country. We want to know about people. Nowadays, we can find different types of families so, it’s quite important to know about the needs, difficulties and advantages that we have, thanks to our singularities.

I hope you like the idea. As I said before, I am very excited about it. I think the initiative is awesome.

By the way, I want to publish the interviews in Spanish and English (I am sure more people will read the stories that way). Thus, as I am not a professional translator, I will really appreciate it if someone could help me, he/she correcting my translations into English. If you feel like collaborating… just contact me! :-D. In the meanwhile, I apologize for all the mistakes you can find here :-(. (I hope this will help me to improve my English he, he). I’ll do my best.

Now, please, just share this initiative as much as you can (if you like it, of course!). I am waiting for your stories. I am really looking forward to knowing about families with kids all over the world.

Is there anything more interesting than diversity? Let’s know it and show to our kids!

Welcome to the world!
